01 · The challenge
Connecting runners and organising meetups by pace: joining groups at the same level, filtering by gender if that feels more comfortable, and discovering popular routes nearby.
02 · The solution
I built the entire social architecture, the pace-matching system, geolocation and group management with Flutter, Firebase and Google Maps. It was my first time building a social network from scratch. The project was put on hold when the client decided not to continue.
03 · Lesson learned
Managing expectations with external clients, and the importance of clear agreements on scope from day one.
